It is with profound sorrow that The Restitution Project mourns the passing of Virginia Giuffre, a courageous survivor and tireless advocate for justice.
Virginia's journey from victim to advocate was marked by extraordinary resilience. Having endured unimaginable abuse at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein and his associates, she transformed her trauma into a powerful force for change. Through her organization, Speak Out, Act, Reclaim (SOAR), she provided a platform for countless survivors of sex trafficking and abuse to share their stories and seek justice.

Her unwavering commitment to exposing the truth, even when facing formidable opposition, inspired a global movement against sexual exploitation. Virginia's testimony was instrumental in bringing attention to the pervasive issue of sex trafficking and holding powerful individuals accountable for their actions.
In the wake of her tragic passing, we are reminded of the profound impact that trauma can have on survivors, even years after the abuse has ended. Virginia's family described her as a "fierce warrior" and "the light that lifted so many survivors," emphasizing the heavy toll her experiences took on her.
At The Restitution Project, we are committed to continuing Virginia's legacy by advocating for survivors, promoting healing, and striving for a world where justice prevails over silence and complicity. We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
